How does CampHound actually work?
You give us a park, an arrival date, and how many nights. We check availability for those dates every few minutes, around the clock. It is the same public availability info you see on the reservation site. When a matching site opens up, we text and email you a booking link right away.
Which parks do you cover?
Provincial parks plus the national parks in Ontario: Bruce Peninsula, Point Pelee, and Thousand Islands. See the full list on the homepage.
Do you book the site for me?
No. CampHound is not a booking agent. We never log into your Ontario Parks or Parks Canada account and we never ask for your password. We find the opening and get you there fast. The booking is yours to make, on the official site for that park.
Will a site definitely open up?
Honestly, no promises. An alert depends on another camper cancelling. Cancellations happen a lot, especially in the week before arrival, but they are never guaranteed. That is why a watch costs $15 and comes with a guarantee.
What is the guarantee?
If your watch expires without a single alert, your next watch is half price. We only want your money if the hound had a real shot at doing its job.
How long does a watch run?
From the moment it starts until your arrival date passes, or until you cancel it. Your magic link shows the status of your watch any time.
What is the three-pack?
$35 CAD for three watch credits. Use them whenever you like, on any parks and dates. Credits never expire.
Do I need an account?
No accounts, no passwords. After checkout you get a magic link by email. That link is how you check on or cancel your watch.
What do you do with my phone number and email?
We use them to send alerts and updates about your watch. That is it. No marketing lists, no sharing, no spam.
