What CampHound is
CampHound watches public campsite availability at Ontario's provincial and national parks. When a site matching your watch opens up, we text and email you a booking link. A watch runs from the moment it starts until your arrival date passes or you cancel it.
What CampHound is not
We are not a booking service and we are not affiliated with Ontario Parks, Parks Canada, or their reservation providers. We never log into your reservation account and we never book on your behalf. The booking is yours to make on the official site.
No promise of a campsite
An alert depends on another camper cancelling. Cancellations are common but never guaranteed. You are paying for around-the-clock watching and a fast heads-up, not for a campsite. Sites can also be re-booked by someone else before you complete your booking. Fast fingers help.
The half-price guarantee
If your watch expires without a single alert, we email you a one-time promo code for 50% off your next watch. Each code is unique to you and works once. This is our way of only keeping your money when the hound had a real shot.
Three-packs
A three-pack is $35 CAD for three watch credits. Credits never expire and work on any park and dates we cover. Credits are for your own watches and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Refunds
Your watch starts working within minutes of checkout, so payments are generally not refundable once watching begins. If something went wrong on our end, email us and we will make it right, including a refund when that is the fair call. The half-price guarantee covers the case where we simply never found you a site.
Fair use
One watch covers one park and date range for one camper. Please do not resell alerts or use CampHound to hoard or scalp campsites. We can cancel watches that abuse the service, with a refund.
Liability
We work hard to catch every opening, but we cannot promise every cancellation gets caught or every text arrives instantly. Carriers hiccup. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to what you paid for the watch in question.
